So as i write this I’m sitting at a table in a martini bar in Abilene TX with another band that is playing with us tonight and their manager. He is one of those people who thinks he’s important so he bosses everyone around and lets his opinion be know. He yelled at us as soon as we arrived for being late and then later was sure to let us know that he has been in band management for years and if we are ever late to one his shows we would not play. Right now he is talking about how everyone of the past six bands he has managed is famous and is making a lot of money thanks to his skills, I asked him what were the names of the bands to which I replied I have never heard of them, He said that they were big in Europe. I don’t know how but now we are talking about pirates and how pirate activity is up 75% from this time last year. You know this manager kind of looks like a pirate, I think I will call him Salty, Salty the Sea Dog. Ughhhhhhhhhh!

•October 18, 2008 • 2 CommentsSo as some of you know, I left my position at lc.tv in September for some uncharted waters. That si never an easy thing to do when the future is unknown, well this past Thursday I started a new job at the Met Church. This is going to be a great chance for Wendy and I to lead what seems to be a great group of leaders and students. If you think about it pray for this transition and everyone involved. One Love…

•September 29, 2008 • 2 CommentsSo last week I was eating lunch with a long time friend of mine, I noticed a couple of girls at the table next to us and being a nosey person with a short attention span I began to listen to their conversation. These two girls were talking about what they have accomplished in their life (did I mention they looked to be in their 80′s) and what they still want to do, I’m going to be completely honest here when I heard that I thought to my self: you better get cracking granny you may not have much time. Which is true for me as well, now I’m a healthy 30 something but the Bible says that life is like a vapor. Which made me begin to think about what I have done and more important what I have not done, I know that God has great plans for my life and if your reading this I know that God has great plans for your life, We all take different roads but will end up standing before God. So may God show you the plans that He has for your future, plans to give you the life that you have always dreamed of.

Change
•September 2, 2008 • 4 CommentsSo change SUCKS!!! I remember as a kid going from Kindergarden to First grade, what I remember is not being able to sleep and having this fear of the unknown: who is going to be my teacher, will I have any of my friends in my class, will I get picked on by an older kid only to have a girl stand up for me (which really took place) but I’m not a first grader anymore and still have this fear of the unknown. Recently I was forced to make a change in my life, a change that effects not only me and my family but a lot of people around me, I believe that God is in control and I have a peace that the Bible describes but all I have to say is that change SUCKS!!!!
